Dr. Amesha Edwards Hurt grew up in Detroit, Michigan where she began her professional career as a dental assistant. It was through the encouragement of great mentors that she decided dentistry would be her passion. She graduated in 2000, Cum Laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. She went to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she graduated with honors in 2004. At the School of Dentistry, she participated in various organizations. Dr. Edwards was the President of the Student National Dental Association, member of the American Student Dental Association, participant in the Pierre Farchard Academy, and Michigan Dental Association.
She relocated to the metro-Atlanta area over eight years ago and has enjoyed practicing in Georgia. She has continued to improve upon her clinical skills and increase her proficiency by participating in various continuing education courses and has also acquired a license in Conscious Sedation. Dr. Edwards is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., American Dental Association and Georgia Dental Association. She enjoys family life, playing baseball with her son, and singing. She does her best to make her patients smile while putting them at ease.
